When I orginially sat down to create the wedding day timeline, I purposefully arranged it so that all our must have wedding photos would be done and over with prior to the ceremony. Mainly, because I really wanted to enjoy our cocktail hour. Guys. We had blood orange margaritas and lamb chops. Lamb chops! Who wouldn’t want to enjoy that?!
HOWEVER. Our timeline got a bit skewed from the get-go. We ended up cutting our First Look short in order to take formal family photos, and then immediately begin our bedeken. Which meant, in order to capture some key bride and groom shots, we’d have to sacrifice our cocktail hour. NoooOOoO!
But the executive decision was made, we were taking our bride and groom photos, whether we wanted to or not.
BRIDE AND GROOM PHOTOS
This was the look Alex gave me when I told him we were going to have to miss our cocktail hour, in order to do his least favorite thing in the world: photos.
We were both starving. It had been hours since either of us had any food. My baby brother Jay came to rescue! He arrived armed and ready with a plate full of lamb chops, cheese, and random items he was able to grab. He took his duties as brother of the bride so seriously. I love him.
What everyone else was doing, while we were wrapping up Bride and Groom shots
I’m telling you, those lamb chops were a huge hit with our crowd! Look at these faces. My two beautiful best friends. Girlfriend on the left got engaged a month after our wedding! She’ll be tying the knot this September. Whoop!
And then, once the sun began setting, our photographer grabbed for few more shots. Which I’m so grateful for, they are glorious! We had a full moon that night. Heart eyes. And then, it was finally time to P A R T Y ! ! !
